Seth Rubin received their B.S. in geology from the George Washington University in 2011 and their Ph.D. in geology from UC Davis in 2016. Their work focused on understanding what happens inside supervolcanoes (and on what timescales) prior to an eruption.

After grad school, Seth became a comedy writer who moved to Chicago and Los Angeles before settling in Philadelphia. They currently work as an Editorial Lead at Jackbox Games.

Some things Seth likes very much include: butter, the films of David Cronenberg, iced coffee all year round, getting tattooed, the novel East of Eden, riot grrl, the Goldberg Variations, crossword puzzles & word games, and keeping a tidy inbox.
